Chellie grew up in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana,  She attended bi-lingual classes, and was featured as a child by Barbara Walters on a special report about the Acadian people.  Chellie graduated from University of Southwestern Louisiana with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration majoring in Management.  A winner of several scholarships, she graduated cum laude in 1988.  She attended Loyola Law School in New Orleans, graduating in 1991.  Upon immediately passing the bar, she began a practice focusing on consumer rights, collection law and successions and probate.  A proud mother of three, she worked primarily as a stay at home mom from 1999 to 2009, while still managing the law firm finances and a succession and probate practice.  She is active in her children’s schools, substitute teaching at a Child Development Center.  She enjoys volunteering at Most Holy Trinity Catholic church and other hobbies.
